USDTWD.ai Taiwan Macro Atlas

Taiwan’s 5 largest crude oil suppliers

Saudi Arabia supplied 33% of Taiwan’s 2025 crude and condensate imports; the U.S. supplied 27%.

What the Data Shows

Taiwan’s crude supply is concentrated but not single-source. Saudi Arabia remained the largest supplier in 2025, while the United States was a close second and larger than Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Oman combined. The top five suppliers covered about 90% of imports. That makes the chart useful for oil-security geography, not just trade trivia.

Data notes & caveats

EIA reports the figure using Vortexa tanker-flow data, so source_status is source-labelled rather than final Taiwan official customs data.

Methodology

Uses EIA’s 2026 Taiwan Analysis Brief and Figure 9 workbook. Values are 2025 crude oil and condensate imports in barrels per day; shares are derived from the same workbook total.

Source consistency notes

All displayed supplier values use one EIA/Vortexa 2025 figure and one unit.
