What the Data Shows
Taiwan’s working-age population is the demographic base for labour supply and tax capacity. NDC projects the 15–64 share falling from 69.1% in 2024 to 46.6% in 2070, with the count declining by about 9.2 million people. The trend shows ageing pressure moving from a future abstraction to a workforce-scale constraint.
