What the Data Shows
Taiwan’s U.S. arms-sale notifications show how defence procurement moved from targeted drone and air-defence packages to a much larger 2025 tranche. The selected Dec. 2025 package included HIMARS, howitzers, ALTIUS systems and other items worth about US$11.1bn. The timeline is not a full backlog ledger, but it captures the scale shift visible in public DSCA notifications.
