What the Data Shows
Taiwan’s recognized Indigenous population is small nationally but internally diverse. CIP lists sixteen recognized peoples, with Amis, Paiwan and Atayal making up about 72.6% of the displayed group totals. The distribution shows why a single Indigenous-population share hides large differences in group scale.
