MOFA’s table shows formal allies falling from 22 in 2015 to 12 in 2024.
Taiwan’s diplomatic-ally count is a compact measure of formal recognition. MOFA’s official table shows the count falling from 22 in 2015 to 12 in 2024, while the current MOFA page lists those 12 allies by region. The 2000 point gives historical context but should remain source-labelled unless verified against a full yearbook table.

The 2015–2024 values are official MOFA table values. The 2000 baseline should be upgraded with a foreign-relations yearbook table if available.
Uses MOFA’s official 2015–2024 diplomatic-ally table for the recent trend and MOFA’s current diplomatic-allies page for the latest list. The 2000 value is used as a source-labelled baseline from Taiwan government news context.
