Manufacturing, packaging/testing and IC design workforce split
This statistic shows the labor scale behind Taiwan’s semiconductor supply chain. The three TSIA-reported sectors totaled 331,915 workers in 2024. Manufacturing and packaging/testing together accounted for 82.1% of the displayed workforce. IC design had fewer workers but much higher revenue per worker than packaging/testing in the same TSIA report.
