What the Data Shows
Manufacturing remained unusually large in Taiwan’s GDP structure in 2024. An official 2025 economic report put manufacturing at 39.79% of GDP, compared with 58.74% for services and 1.47% for the primary sector. The same report notes a smaller 34.94% employment share, indicating higher value added per worker than the sector’s job share alone suggests.
