What the Data Shows

Taiwan’s core fuel imports were a material share of its goods import bill in 2024. The definition is conservative and does not claim to capture every mineral or energy-related item.

Data table

Core fuels 14.0%
Other imports 86.0%
Total imports US$359.6bn

Data notes & caveats

Energy share sums four HS items visible in the WTO profile: crude oil, LNG, coal and medium oils. The denominator is the WTO profile’s total import value for Chinese Taipei in 2024.

Methodology

This is a conservative core-fuel share, not the full MOF mineral-products category. Use the MOF mineral-products table if the page must show that broader definition.
