Taiwan Detected 5,446 PLA Aircraft Sorties in 2025

Annual aircraft, median-line and naval detections.

What the Data Shows

This statistic converts daily military pressure into annual scale. The median-line crossings equalled 69.1% of detected PLA aircraft sorties in 2025, while naval vessel detections also exceeded 2,600. Because the values are compiled from daily reporting, they should be treated as sourced activity counts, not a single official annual statistical release.

Data table

Methodology

Use Jamestown's compilation of Taiwan MND daily-report data. Median-line share is calculated as median-line crossings divided by detected aircraft sorties.
