Wafer substrates and related high-purity materials are upstream chokepoints for semiconductor manufacturing. Taiwan’s official selected-commodity line shows a strong supplier concentration around Japan. The result is useful for supply-chain mapping, but the page should not imply it covers every possible silicon-wafer tariff subcode.
