What the Data Shows
The U.S. exposure is concentrated in Taiwan’s ICT/audio-video export group, not evenly across the export basket. MOF data show the U.S. took about 60.4% of the ICT/audio-video export group in 2025, while only about 4.3% of electronic-parts exports went directly to the U.S. This distinction helps explain why U.S. demand can dominate AI hardware exports while China/HK remains important for chip-component flows.
